 FoL - History

FoL is the literature division of People Focus. The first FoL magazine October 1999 issue rolled out of the press on 30th September, 1999 after a period of much prayer and spiritual birth pangs.

Over the years FoL grew with the prayers and participation of its subscribers, readers, and prayer partners. Today FoL is a synonym to missions and missions work in India and we pray it would be the same beyond the national borders.

The magazine as we prayed and planned, has taken its roots deep in the hearts of its readers. We also pray that the magazine both in print and internet versions would be a unique synthesis of contemporary missionary challenge in text and excellence in style and format.

We further pray that FoL would uphold the heritage of the missionary work which was marked with prayer, sacrifice and faithfulness to the CALL, and carry on the TASK handed down to us in these modern times until the Lord returns.

 People Focus - History

The story of People Focus began in August 1995, though the making of it began as early as in 1984 in the heart of Sunny Joseph a student then. Missionary biographies like David Livingstone, Hudson Taylor, John Paton, Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, and a few others who lived and died for God have challenged him early in his Christian life which made him commit for a life-time commitment to preach and teach the Word of God in the unreached and unreachable parts of India.

By the time he finished his studies the burden for the lost souls grew to a burning passion. As he began to pray and wait upon the Lord for God’s perfect will in his life, the Spirit of God began to shape the vision and impressed upon his heart and mind for a life-time of missionary work in India.

It was in August 1995, that Sunny Joseph made a determined mission survey trip to Chintapally, a tribal area in the Southeast of India, a pavilion for Indian tribes. Later on, the Lord began to specifically confirm through scriptural, internal and circumstantial evidences that Chintapally as the place of to begin with, a missionary endeavor that he would be engaged in for the rest of his life.

In later years the same burden evolved into People Focus which was registered with the AP., State Government (India) under the Societies and Firms Act in the year of 1998.
